REQUIRED UIL MUSIC PROTOCOLS FOR MARCHING CONTEST STADIUM AND FACILITIES
OUR NUMBER ONE CONCERN IS THE SAFETY OF STUDENTS AND ALL ATTENDING OUR MARCHING CONEST.
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!!!! ALL BAND DIRECTORS INVOLVED MUST, I REPEAT, MUST COMMUNICATE THESE PROTOCOLS TO THEIR STUDENTS, PARENTS, SCHOOL DISTRICT, AND COMMUNITY.
UNLIKE FOOTBALL GAMES, THE REQUIRED UIL PROTOCOLS WILL BE STRICTKLY ENFORCED. ANYONE REFUSING TO FOLLOW PROTOCOLS WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE. AN OFF-DUTY POLICE OFFICER IS BEING HIRED TO HELP ENFORCE PROTOCOLS.
All in attendance are required to wear face coverings at all times.
6 feet social distance will be maintained at all times unless it is a family group, or group that travelled together.
No groups larger than 10.
10 feet social distance between individuals, or groups in the stands.
All spectators will exit the stands at the end of each performance so stands and rails can be cleaned.
Spectators will be allowed to enter the stands before each band performs.
All social distancing practices will be maintained in all areas under the stands, parking lots, and all school property.
No more than 2 directors, contest officials, or workers in the elevator at a time.
Only 1 director from each participating school will be allowed in the press box at a time.
Everyone entering the press box will maintain social distance and wear face coverings.
Bands staying to watch other bands will only be allowed in the home stands if there is room enough to maintain social distance. Spectators will have preference.
When stands are crowded, bands staying must sit in the visitors stands and maintain social distance.
